Part-time Custodian and Maintenance

Dolores County Senior Services will be accepting applications for a Part-time CUSTODIAN/MAINTENANCE Employee. To be considered, a current application must be filed, and applicants must be 18 years or older.

The position requires experience with a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in maintenance, construction, alteration and repair of building, grounds and small equipment; provides assistance as needed to staff.

Starting hourly wage is $12.32/hour.

CBI and CAPS background checks are required as well as Pre-employment drug test.

Part-time Homemaker

Dolores County Senior Services is accepting applications for a Part-Time HOMEMAKER. To be considered, a current application must be filed, and applicants must be 18 years or older.

General Duties include:

  • Providing basic housekeeping services.
  • Assisting with basic nutrition.
  • Identifying safety hazards and resolutions.
  • Perform required record keeping and reports in a timely manner.
  • CBI and CAPS background checks are required as well as Pre-employment drug test.

Starting hourly wage is $12.75/hour.

Sheriff's Office Deputy

The Dolores County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy. The Deputy will be responsible for the following:

  1. Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED equivalency certificate.
  2. Must be a Dolores County resident for a response time to the Dolores County Sheriff's Office that is acceptable to the Sheriff.
  3. Must pass a criminal background check by the standards set by Colorado POST.
  4. Completing a Colorado POST academy to be POST certified law enforcement peace officer or currently holding a POST certification.
  5. Complete all Field Training requirements through the Dolores County Sheriff's Office and performing satisfactorily during the FTO training phase.
  6. Enforcing the traffic and criminal code of the State of Colorado and other duties assigned by the Sheriff.
  7. Ensuring the following of the United States of America and the State of Colorado Constitution.

The successful candidate will be paid at a yearly rate of $34,500.00. A benefit package which includes health, dental and vision insurance. PTO upon hiring and retirement after one year of service for the employee will be provided and discussed after the individual is given a conditional job offer. The Dolores County Sheriff's Office would be willing to sponsor an individual who is currently attending the POST academy. The wages will be discussed for those attending the academy.
